I live a few mile away from San Francisco, they claim it's the stunt bike capital of the world (not sure if it's true, but here in California it is DEFINITELY the capital of morons, oops sorry, stunt bikers). There are tons of videos of knuckle heads doing wheelies on their touring full baggers across the golden gate bridge. I do stunts occasionally on my sport bikes, but never on my harley, or any cruiser for that matter.

But to be honest, if you're going to wheelie a bike, why not a harley? We have to gear down our sport bikes to get that feeling the torque of a stock harley has. My CBR is geared 1down 11up (1 lower in the front, 11 higher in the rear sprockets), and it feels about the same as my EVO.

Hate to admit it, but I know a couple of the guys in this video.

I hate to admit it but there was one guy there that I actually enjoyed his stunt; the donuts at the traffic light. Then the light went green andhe didn't miss a beat and pulled-out smokin the whole time. That was funny, dumb, but funny.

Truthfully, I just don't have the nuts to try that kind of stunt anyway - would probably land myself in the hospital and my bike on the permanently disabled list. Takes a guy with a certain amount of daredevil blood in him to do things like that. But there's a time and place to do those things, and it's MHO that those stunts should not be performed in normal, everyday traffic.

Funny you should say that Josh, I was told last week by a friend that when I die it will be on a bike and because I lost my fear. I know it to be true because one morning when my tires were cold my front end slipped out about a foot while turning. I remember the first thing that went through my mind as I sliding was "I should replace that front tire". So maybe it's not about having the nut, maybe it's about being too dumb to be scared. :D

If you lose the fear (respect) for the danger, you are in a count down. It's not a matter of IF, it's a matter of WHEN. People ask me "aren't motorcycles dangerous?" I reply "ABSOLUTELY!" and when I get on the scooter, I tell myself that I just became invisable to the rest of the world.

I agree with you 100%...I don't care what you do with your own life but I do care about the others endangered by this kind of stupidity...

I'm coming up on year 28 on 2 wheels. Broke my collar bone within 1 month of having my first bike (Trail 70) by jumping it. After I healed I was back out jumping. Had 4 years of dirt experience before hitting the street, on the dirt you play around doing jumps and wheelies but when you crash you dust off your pants and get back on. I was unlucky because I started riding on the street at age 15, still was too young to think about death so the first thing I did on my street bike was pull wheelies. I keep an old 92 CBR around for getting my "stunting" out of the way, that way when the urges arise I can just pull that out and hit up the back streets. Keeps me from riding wheelies on the golden gate bridge doing 80mph in traffic. Cracked one of my helmets last time doing a stoppie and the tail went over on me.
