I know I haven't logged in in quite a while and the reason I'm here now is because I got the notice that Direct Parts has closed. I've bought quite a few parts from them in the past and was planning on finally getting the new pipes I've wanted right after Christmas but now...I'll have to shop somewhere else. Anyone have suggestions on where to buy stuff for good prices?

    Thanx in advance,

Its going to be hard to find online dealers with the same service and pricing that Direct Parts had, but my second choice is http://www.jpcycles.com. They carry both Harley and Metric aftermarket parts. My only other recommendation is to always support your local shop.

Agree with all that Ken has said. Another couple of alternatives I have found is Backyard Performance and Eric Knight with Cas4(Google the names, you'll find the link). Other than the above options, just surf, surf, surf!;)

CD suggested CyborgCycle.com awhile back. I've already made a purchase for some Christmas goodies for my wfe's bike and they were good to work with, fast, and very good prices.

I have found better prices at Denniskirk.com free shipping over $100 and don't charge me sales tax, Jp does because I am in Florida

I have dealt with Cyborg a couple times, seems to be nice folks there, but I have found that Jireh cycles to be the best around, there are very few that will beat them on their prices, if any. J&P? Lol, ya, I’ll go to there site to look at, or find a part that I cant find any information on, and I appreciate them for that, but, I’m not paying an extra 20% or 30% for pretty pictures.

Agreed...JP cycles prices suck. I guess I've been spoiled by not having to pay MSRP for parts for a long time. I have used Wallyscycleworld.com in the past for a few things and liked their prices. I've also found a few good deals on Ebay. In the future, I think I will try Cyborgcycles.com as CD suggested.

I think these are the guys who CD suggested and I just purchased a set of Vance & Hines mufflers from them, great prices.

    Zanotti's

I have always had great service with Zanotti Motors. For Harley parts just enter the part number on their Price Lookup Page. You can also look up after market part numbers on this page or just email them. I've bought parts from them for the past 6 years and never had a complaint. Especially since I was saving $$ by not having to buy from the stealerships. Only thing with them is shipping. The more parts you buy at once the better the shipping cost. Single items can cost you, but you'll still be saving money in the end.....just shop and compare at the other places mentioned here.

Another good place that I have seen decent prices is Cycle Spot. They would be listing new aftermarket parts long before other places got them on their sites (like the D&D Police Interceptor Slip on mufflers), and for a decent price.

    Yeah, Zanotti's

Like most people here, I was sad to see Direct Parts close. Their sales & service was second to none.

I just ordered pipes, PCIII, intake, shocks and springs for my wife's Low Rider, Zanotti's prices were ~$240. under MSRP total. They were very helpful in making sure I got the right parts. They can order from CC & Drag, plus some metric stuff, so just about whatever you need.

So far it's a good experience, will update when the parts come in.

    Happy New Year to all!

    Buying Parts

I like Dennis Kirk too. I have actually driven up to the catalog store in Lake City, Minnesota and bought from them (I live about 40 miles away), but the mail order is very quick.

I also buy lots of stuff for my bikes on e-Bay, but you have to know what you want, be patient and check the ratings for the seller to make sure that you don't get screwed.

The guy that is the manager or supervisor at GoPartsDirect is a jerk.
When I told him about that I thought his attitude towards customers was rude he said something like 'so what I have 2 mercedes.'

The guys at Cyborg Cycles are good people to do business with.
