    Had this picture sent to me today...used to be the bike my uncle rode for a few years..... know it is HD, pretty positive it is FL in nature..... probably learly 1980s......anyone want to take a venture as to what year and model it is??!! It is Me and my sister sitting on the bike.....may have been mid 80s.....but I graduated HS in 87, think the bike was gone by then.....

    I believe that is an HD Tour Glide, today they call it the Road Glide, or FLTR!

    Don't know the exact name, that is the model that turned in to the Road Glide, there is a guy here in Colorado Springs who has one, I see him ever now and then.

    Yep A tour Glide , look's to be a late shovel head or earley evo model so late 70's or earley 80's

    Might be a late Shovel, I could be wrong,:eek: have been before, but I think the EVO came out in 84'.

    Ringo yes the EVo did come out in 84 , But the EVO is based on the Shovel , That's why they last so long kinda like A pan bottom end with a shovel top end just the newer way shovel bottom & EVO top with A 5 spd trans

    The FLT Tour Glide was introduced in 1979. Sold alongside the existing FLH Electra Glide, the FLT had a larger frame with rubber engine mounts, a five-speed transmission, the 80 cubic inch (1.3 L) engine, and a frame-mounted fairing. In order that the FLT frame, which was larger and heavier than the large and heavy FLH frame, would handle acceptably, the front forks were given radical steering geometry which had them mounted behind the steering head, with the frame behind the steering head being recessed to allow adequate steering lock.
