Any pine is not good unless you have an outside boiler and then it will warm you up feeding it and cleaning the stack. Looked like the tree was close to the driveway and not so healthy. John, got the package yesterday, thinking you laced them like a pair of boots?

    • Instructions: the leather pieces come with one end of the rows of holes wider at one end narrower then the other, slightly tapered. The wider end goes to the thicker end top of the lever, the narrower end down the balled end of the lever. Before you put them on losely thread the strings of leather like you would a shoe thru the holes. Starting at the top (wider) end of the piece of leather. Once laced, slide the grips on and tighten. When you're done there will be lengths of string hanging down, hopefully of equal lengths. You can leave them hang or cut to desired lengths

Done! Before picture and after. Took a month waiting for days off when it wasn't raining or other obligations. Relief to have that tree gone. We get what they call micro bursts of wind and it causes many large trees to go down to recently include my big maple. This tree was lage and leaning towards my house and driveay.
