Just got out of surgery to get the hardware removed from my ankle. I wrecked a 08 Suzuki supermoto last year when the rear tire blew out going around a sharp curve. Just to warn ya"ll I may make some strange comment while on pain killers. :)

Never owned a Harely but have rented a few in the past 5 years. I like the look, sound and cool factor. I never spent more than 6g on a bike with maybe a small loan. That puts most Harelys out of my price range. I suppose if I saved a few years I could get a nice, low mile HD dresser.

Sport bike guys moving to HD, move to the Dyna line, you can pop on windshield or bags, it's got a bit higher center of gravity and still has that cruiser feeling, and, they handle very well in the twisty areas, one thing you'll find is that curves + torque down low = smiles...

This was the bike I wrecked, just for the record I wasn't riding like a fool. I was going maybe 25mph at the most. It only has 38hp but it was fun.

Don't know, the road had 3 nice curves in a row, the first and second I had no problems. The 3rd curve my bike didn't want to lean it slammed in a guard rail and I landed hard on my ankle. A passer by stopped to help me, he pulled my bike out and told me it was flat. Nice guy he drove me to the ER and secured my bike. His house was just past the driveway.

Maybe you just hit something slick on the road. How was the tire tread, worn?

Just enough to pass inspection the same week. I was looking for tire deals on the Internet, so yeah it was worn.

Hope you heal quick. That's the problem with spoked tube type wheels. Any puncture tube rips and air leaves real quick = accident. Tubeless tires much much better. Raely a blow out. Usually slow leaks.
