This is what 16-18 inchs of snow looks like. It went from sunny and snow all gone to this.

image.jpeg Hmmmm...snowstorm weather versus crowded Daytona bike week? I don't feel like i have much in common with the new riders of today never mind being surrounded by a shat ton of them.

Hard call. Going to Laconia bike week isn't so bad because i live close enough, have been going long enough that i know when the best time is to go. I usually go Tuesday/Wednesday morning to the race track to test ride the new makes and models of different manufacturers. I never go to Weirs beach anymore, what a shat hole.

Does Daytone bike week have any such quiet times? Last time i went to Daytona every popular bar had a line out the door, around the bar and down the road. F that. So crowded everyone was up everyones arse. So many people. How is that fun?

Americade is actually a darn good rally. Been twice. Quality rally.

I sure do miss riding my bike alot though.....

FIrst weekend and weekdays are fine, if you go the last Fri-Sat its packed
with a lot more people, folks tend to come down mid week, and stay through
    the final sunday

Lots to do, if you know how to get around it's not heavy traffic, after all the years
I know the secret back roads LOL

Just rode up to speedway and beach street, lots of parking, plenty to see, demo rides from HD, Indian and the metric boys, lots of parts to look at, plenty of new parts
not out to the public yet.

I don't hit bars other than the Iron Horse, park next door at the gas station for $5 to the boy scouts and walk in, stand up top, have a cigar, watch the bands and people.

I long ago gave up on bike week type rallies as I also am not a crowd person. Spent over an hour this AM watching YouTube videos which confirmed why Daytona, Myrtle Beach, Laconia, Sturgis, OC Md are off of my radar during prime time.

Have a T shirt or 2 from Iron Horse and many other places but not when there was a crowd. Just too old and cranky any more I guess, towards crowds that is...

Only one rally any more on my list to try hard to make: http://www.runamucca.com/

Crowds are light, events are cool and the small town is welcoming. Haven't made it every year, but more than half since it started.

Too many people in some areas for sure, we know how to get around the crowds
and enjoy the stuff without being in traffic or crowds to get there.

Did a couple hours at the horse Saturday, 4 hours on Main street Fri night watching the show.

Looks like a fun time RR.

Looking at that web site makes me reflect on how many more bike rallys there are compared to 25-30+ years ago and many more starting up. Bike rallys are literally every where. Every state has multiple rallys. All have great attendance numbers. A testement to the burgeoning popularity of motorcycles.

I remember when it was just the big 3-4 or so. Then came the laughlin run, harley rendezvous to name a few and are as popular and as expensive as ever. When the rendezvous first started it was only 25$. Now its 85$.

Wonder if motorcycles and the subsequent rallys will ever wane and lessen or are here to stay and keep manifesting?
