I thought I'd seen all the "biker" movies (most of them really bad) until last night when I saw "The World's Fastest Indian" on TV. I was so impressed with this film I thought I'd mention it and recommend it to anybody who hasn't seen it and wants to see a really fine real life story. Anthony Hopkins plays an old man from New Zealand whose dream is to take his hopped up 1920s Indian motorcyle to the Bonneville Salt flats in pursuit of the land speed record. Check it out!

yep went riding thru the hills (mountains) today with my son, it's our annual ride together for fathers day, no picture just ride'n and eate'n and ride'n. great day mid 80's started with a coat and ended with t-shirt only. Great to spend time with my son.

What a great way to spend father's day! I spent mine wrenching "The Beast" in my shop. (It's no longer "Ol' Bob" - "Beast" seems more appropriate).

I picked up that DVD in the used rental sellout bin a year or two ago for $2.oo I had seen it once at a friend's place.
That guy made a lot more trips to the salt flats after the initial one.......I think the extras were better than the movie.
I've always been partial to flatties .......I've still got one...my 47 sericar.

Waiting for a rainy or snowy day when me and the chocolate lab are the only ones home and I'll open the celephane and view it! I have a few waiting for that day or days. Including the Pacific series.

I've been reading up on Burt Munro. What an inspiration to bikers everywhere. He did all that with an antique flathead Indian - just think what he coulda done with one of the more modern bikes! Scary!
