Oyster Bay.jpg Got out wid da club today fer a typical Long Island ride. We did about 120 miles. Went from the warmer North Shore down to the freaking colder South Shore, along the Shore Parkway for about 40 miles which runs along the Atlantic (wind off the 40 degree ocean) back to a burger joint on the North Shore just down the street from Billy Joels shop in Oyster Bay. Then I blasted home doing between 75-85 on the infamous Long Island Expressway. Nice to be riding agin.

yup...First ride since Thanksgiving yesterday and I was rusty...Found a nice big parking lot and did right and left circles, figure eights and breaking for about 20 minutes...Got in about 100 miles on the back roads...Clutch hand is a bit stiff today...Getting old...Got to start squeezing the old stress ball...

Glad you got in a ride Fatboy know for you it was a long time coming. Myself, Maddog and two others did a 200 mile ride up to Hood River and through the apple orchards that were in full bloom. Had lunch in Parkdale in a BBQ joint, really good.

sounds like a good reason to upgrade to a bagger with hydraulic clutch...

Registration for mine isn't bad at all - under $30, I believe - and no inspections to pass since it's registered as a antique. My front wheel has been in the shop since Friday getting new spokes and a rim on the old Sporty hub. Should be ready today, just in time for the spring rain we'll be having for the rest of the week .

Registration here is $35.00 I think and NJ gave up inspections years ago but the police do set up exhaust noise stops every now and then...I went through one last year and made it through...

You have to register the bike yearly? Do you also have to go through an inspection of some sort to.
