I just wanted to post about the ride we went on this past Saturday. It was the 7th annual Tyler Ride. They had an all time high of about 500 bikes. It is a Poker run to raise money for a 12 year old named Tyler who suffers from muscular dystrophy. There was a very large turn out this year. The estimate was about 500 bikes!

One of my buddies lost a coil at the first stop, which was about an hour from home. They had a chase vehicle all ready with a trailer. They loaded his bike on, drove him from stop to stop and delivered the bike back to my house where he stores it. What a nice touch. I believe they just added the chase vehicle last year.

I just figured I would mention the ride. It covered about 150 miles through some very nice scenic New England towns and winding country roads. There were police escorts and blockers through every town. It is amazing how much support was offered and how many on lookers were there to watch and wave and show their support. People not involved with the ride came up to every stop to look at the bikes and offer donations.

I go on three or four big rides a year. I have participated in this one for four of the seven years they've had it and it just keeps getting bigger every year. They do a great job organizing it and making it fun and safe for everyone.

They haven't updated the web site with this year's pics yet but if anyone is interested in reading about Tyler and his battle with MD or viewing pics from last year's ride, the web site is http://www.tylerride.com/ .

    Thanks for reading.
