A couple of the Die Hard Harley people I know traded their bikes for Goldings.
They was in Eureka Springs riding with us..
    120 hp
10 mpg better fuel milage, 50 mpg..
Faster, whole lot... Handle the curves as fast as any Harley...
Git caught in traffic, no problem ... Thy don't run hot..
    I was super impressed...

Goldwings are now made in Japanese Land, used to be built in Marysville Ohio. Had a 1500 Goldwing and put 109,000 on it. Very smooth but they do over heat in hot weather. I know I had to add water and even replaced a water pump in a Campground one time. The newer ones are not great if you got long legs. There better for guys built like JB. Go for a long ride on one you'll find out.

Shorter legs do better on them because how your feet are placed on the rider pegs. They don't come with floor boards like a Harley. They also don't come stock with a CB or even a CD player. I also had a new 1800 for a year. Would ride for 100 miles than my legs hurt and my hip would cramp up. The old 1500 had better leg room because it was designed differently. My Harley Ultra is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever owned.

Will say one thing they sure do work great for pulling a tent trailer and riding two up.

Best Honda I ever owned was a Honda Valkyrie Interstate. Now that was a fast touring bike with those 6 carbs, one for each cylinder.:D

Most don't have problems but some do. Go ride one for a long ride and you'll feel how cramped up your legs will feel.

He was lucky, he almost lost it standing the bike up. Forgot to put it in gear. The important thing I got from that video is my not ever considering a Shinko tire was further backed by his delaminating.

He didn't lube the rear spline. You always do that on every rear tire change on a Goldwing. Yep, he also forgot to put it in gear and you never tip it over like that with a full tank of gas. :gah:

Looks like it's still standing when it"s on it's on it's side. UGH! Where did extra wheel come from? does it carry a spare? A H-D rider would have checked the side stand was still down and have put it in gear. Install a center stand on a Harley and take it off while upright.

    Rode Harleys since 73.
Been riding for days with a bunch of folks. Got caught in traffic and thought my bike was gonna melt and burn up.
Gold wings never had a problem. And on the Pig Trail they screamed.
    120 hp from the factory.

I want something dependable, and when I go to the dealer. I don't want to hear.
Well you ain't got harley air in yer tires, Yer warranty if Void.
