After missing past 2 monthly meetings and several club events I finally got to make one here on the island. Getting to be many new members and way to many bikes on the rides. We had over 30 bikes (probably 40 or more). Gets very stressful to ride with the club. About a dozen riders skipped the photo. I'm 3rd from your left.

May have rode 1200 miles in 3 days.Toured eastern back road coal country PA. Beauty beyond words. Stopped in Centralia,PA. Thats the town the gov't shut down, condemned and tore all the buldings down because of a still burning under ground coal fire. You can still see smoke coming up thru the cracks in the ground/roads. It was weird. all the roads are still laid out like a town, just no buildings. Its been burning since 1962 and they expect it to burn another century. Centralia was used as the town used for the inspiration of the game and movie called "Silent Hill". Ended up in Pottstown as one of my friends Aunt lived there. I bought a 77 xlh this spring; got it for 1400 bucks. The owner parked 3 years ago in his shed. The bike is bone stock with turn signals still on it. The perfect bike for me to stroke. I have a 76 shovelhead stroker 84ins.; but have always wanted to stroke a sporty. From what I;ve read and talked to a few engine builders going with a 4 5/8 stroke is great but hard on parts. 4 7/16 or 4 1/2 stroke are alittle easier on parts and reliable. Anyone out there have any experience with stroking a older sportster..

This women I know through another friend, her bike overheated and was leaking coolant. She shut the bike off to let it cool and a momma bear and her cubs smelled the antifreeze and came out of the woods to investigate. Then the bear smelled her two sandwiches in her bag and the bear started to climb up the back. Her husband then yelled at her as she sat there to start the motor and get the H-out of there.
