This looks cool. I'm sure it'll be way too expensive, but it sounds like a cool bike, more my styles, pegs under my butt and leaning toward the bars. The steering rake "steepened" at 30 degrees? That's sorta comical, but I'd have to ride it to see how quick the steering is before I scoff at that. The C of G looks pretty low. Certainly has enough motor. I was just reading with interest about the possibility this thing might have some decent handling. Sounds cool, anyhow. At least there's an option to forward controls on the V Rod, now. I can't handle forward controls. When I'm riding hard, I'm in the habit of sliding around on the seat to get my weight inside the bike. I can't move around on the seat smoothly with my feet out in front of me Honda Helix style. I'd like to test...

Hello All,
Anyone have any information about a performance touring muffler made by Screamin Eagle part # 64903-99? Who makes them for SE, what kind of baffle do they have and then to they provide good flow, what kind of sound would one expect, louder then stock quieter then V&H?
Any feed back would be appreciated, THANKS!

hey to all! i have a 2004 LR with SE air filter, SE stage 1 download,V&H long shot stagered duals (power chamber), power commander, and it is at the HD dealer getting 1550 w/ high comp cast pistons and 211 cams installed. the dealer says i need the SE race ignition $119.95, they say it will pull out 10 deg of timing at WOT. does this sound right? 10 deg. sounds like a lot to me.i have heared in drag racing taking 2to3 out in high gear only. do i possibly have detination or pre ignition problems? thanks in advance. and thanks Direct Parts for the pipes and power commander, the right parts good parts and at a great price. mofasa

Hey all, as much as I've read here about V&H and others' pipes, not much has been written about Straight Shots. Does anyone have experiences with them, good or bad?
My bike--'04 Wide Glide, I'm thinking of jetting CV carb or going Mikuni, and high flow intake, but nothing major to the motor. Would like the torque curve to be pretty steady throughout.
Are the SS pipes a good choice, or are they too much like drag pipes (i.e., reversion, loss of power)? I like V&H fit and finish, but will go with Big Shots Staggered or some slip-ons to keep some power.
Thanks for any and all thoughts.
Joe
