That is way cool and very happy for you. I know that in 06 there were some issues with the 103 as my friends motor went south on him. The dealer did not go to bat for him though, so you've got a good dealer there.

It's been awhile, and bike is back home. I have already put a couple thousand miles on her, and everything is right as rain again.

I wish I could say something as to some sort of "trick" to get HD to do this for someone else, but really after I pressed the service manager about what they did to make this happen. He just said that they just made an appeal to HD corporate about the malfunction, and HD responded with a new engine after they got my old one back. They even put the original engine VIN onto the new case, which I did not expect but I am very pleased that they did. Kind of anti climactic really, I was expecting to hear about all the bantering they had to do to make this happen. But, nothing of the sort.

I'm gonna just put another 20 or 30K on this engine, then I will probably just trade it in for a new SE Ultra when the money starts flowing again.

Ride safe everyone! Oh, and get your TC motor cam bearings and cam drive updated! ;)
