I don't understand why HD had to "upgrade" their comp set up that has been problematic since the get-go....Evo's and early TC's with hopped up motors putting out serious power never seemed to have a problem with the stock comp set up...

I busted out 3 rotors with the stock setup running the 124
it would hammer the the center of the rotor so hard it busted
a nice neat hole right in the center of the rotor, you found
out about it after it broke, as you sat on the side of the road...

You busted the rotor for the charging system cause you didn't replace the comp sprocket ?
What did it do shake the magnets off the rotor ?

That would suck...Guess there were no motors around here with that much serious HP;) LOL....
Was there a fix for it?? Other than getting rid of the 124...Like a thicker heavier rotor and shorter shaft extension??

    Replace it.... LOL

We torqued the shidt out of it I mean that sucker was cranked down
even made a custom spacer to try and shim it out, wider than stock,
still hammered it out, I was getting about 4K to the Rotor LOL

The final rebuild it was doing fine and I'd had enough of busting transmissions
and rotors when I sold it, have no idea if the person that bought it changed it, the new SE comp came out right about the time I sold it. So it was dump $4K in a new baker and comp or let it go... I chose the later.. Miss it every day even with the friggin problems there is nothing other than a drag bike like a big inch vtwin.

    CB,

The comp nut never came loose, not once, the hole would be punched
out at the exact diameter of the nut shaft where it meets the rotor, never lost a magnet, just hammered a nice hole in the center.

CB you are not near what I was putting out at the crank, the RWT was close to 140 to 150 ft pounds so at the crank it was putting out a lot more...

That SE comp is an upgrade, if so then it's good insurance and easier to
do it while you have the bike apart, however I'd ride it with what you have
and see if it causes any issues.

There's a good idea CB...Fix it IF you break it;) What you have now could very well hold up to your new found power..

Charlie46 put a SE compensator on his 09 Street Glide with a stock 96 cu in motor. He noticed a big change in shifting. (Quieter less clunk). That is the only experience we've had.

Just doing the 107 to my bike made it start shifting a little easier.
    I couldn't believe it.
