You can see the Yellow line. That is where the map was before we changed it. If you look at the Blue line. That is where we moved it to.
Look at the arch in the cursing range.
If you notise the AFR's are 13.8. That is no where lean
Anytime I want I can go in and move the map back to the yellow lines.
We changed it as I said between like 1300 to 3000 rpm for fuel milage.

May go in and change the map to like 14.4 Afr in the cursing range later on
The Thunder-Max has like 2500 points for tuning just like the original SE map

Click on the map and it will git bigger.

I thought you didn't have to change and tweak those zipperhead maxes.

Before you STOP and start thinkin what one will do or not do go buy one and run it. For somebody that don't know a lot . It does great for them.

I had a Power Commander V and had it dynoed 3 times and it erased part of the map each time.. When I traded the bike in. The 1st thing they did was take it off.

I have ran about 5 different tuners including the SERT.
And trying to find somebody that is good with a Sert is dang Hard. I couldn't find anybody here that could do it right..
Then every time you make a change.
Its back on the dyno and more money out the door.

And got friends who has bought the TTS for several bikes.
After a year they took em off. Couldn't find anybody to tune them and get rid of the problems.
Everybody Don't know how to tune with a TTS like you do.
And the Dude that was in AZ and wound up in Texas had Doc to spend at least 2 weeks years ago trying to tech him how to tune with a TTS which is the upgraded original Sert.

    The bike ran super good.
Was looking for a little better fuel milage. And not waiting for it to dial in. And don't know how long it may take with the build I have.
If you can set the fuel curves it will get better fuel milage within a couple tanks.

I Had a Sert on my 07 bike, Had the dealerships to put it on the Dyno 7 times. Never ran right. Never got good fuel milage till I took the factory computer off and put the TM on.
All the problems I was having was gone.

If I didn't have the Thunder-Max I would probably be running the Power Vision.

You are Lucky you have the ability to understand the TTS and tune with it.

Well, I still thought it would adjust for the new build...

Did you call Zipperheads and ask them for a map?

yep sure did. But I had asked for a dynoed map from Fuelmoto.
Looked at the map. It showed no fuel curves.
It just showed Auto tune on.
Auto tune and Auto map are two different things.

Left it alone and rode it for about 1000 miles, Got 33.8 mpg no matter how you rode it. No matter what the speed was.
Called them and they said I had a general map.
Emailed Jamie after he got back from the Holidays.
He said I got a dynoed map but it needs to tune .
to ride it and send him the leaned fuel curves.
But to not turn on Automap.
Don't know how its gonna learn with out auto map on.
Didn't buy the TM from him so I don't think he was gonna help a lot. And I ain't waiting.
Got a fiend that bought a Power Vision from him.
It had a dynoed map for a 110cu motor with woods 222 cams.
He looked at it and took the afro's from Idle to 3000 rpm and made a flow chart.
    He also has a TM.
He took the chart and made AFR changes to the tables on the Thunder-Max map.
I also turned Auto map on.
On the 2nd tank of gas. I did all interstate riding. No stop and go. Rode about an adverse and got 49 mpg with 2 up riding
On the 3rd tank I rode 75mph and did a lot of stop and go riding and all. Gota little over 39 mpg with 2 up riding.
The map we changed was much better than what I got from FM.

Might go up just a little more with the Afrs in the fuel table in the cruising range from the 13.8 that we have set.

Just be careful, screwing with things that are not
made for it, 50 mpg is great but the way you ride
generally not reasonable, does TM have a reliable tuner
in your area, even if it's dallas or New orleans might
    be worth the trip.

Don't know anybody anywhere that will tune with a Thunder-max.
And if you tune with a TTS you got to know that 13.8 Afr's is not lean.
What Thunder-Heart has said to me. And them make the Thunder-Max and write the software for it.
Is more maps are messed up by people people changing the timing.
And if you mess up the timing on the maps they will charge you.
In the Thunder-Max software. it has a part of the program where you run the bike at different rpm and it creates a log and you email it to Thunder-heart.
Tell them everything about the bike and what its doing.
They will make changes to the map for you.
And over the last year or so. The software has changed a couple times. Making it better.

I would do that, the timing on the 110 could be different the TM should
record knock etc, I'd ask them if there are files that you can send with run data.

All we changed it the Air Fuel Ratio man.

The base map for the setup should have the timing where it should be at with the cams and all.

And I have a 107. The Woods 222 cams that are in the 110cu motor and the Woods 555 that are in my bike are about the same cam.
The 555 just likes more compression and the 555 has more duration.

Buddy said the 222 cams we stuck in his SE SG really woke it up compared to the SE 255 cams.
He would never again run the se 255 cams after what he has learned.
The bike ain't the same bike.

You know yourself the timing is controlled by the cam you choose. and the compression.

    Right.
That's why when you choose a base map. The 1st thing you look at is the size of the engine, then the Cam.
    Then the kind of pipes.

but they are not exactly the same or they would be one cam set offered by Bobby Woods.

And you said you are carrying more compression, if the TM is recording or keeping data then it would be valuable to the tuner, even a few points off on timing can kill a lot of power.

What ain't right. Getting 40 mpg riding 2up.
And If I HAD of wanted a carb I would of gone and got a carbed bike.
I do not want a carved bike. Threw with the years of riding with a carbed.
Go buy a car with a carb.
let me know how you come out.

Been reading all this and man, CB I have to tell you it seems like a lot of run around. How can you remove the Harley computer unless you write over it or use a piggy back system.
Look Maddog and I have the same set up. We have the best Tuner guy in the west right here in Portland. Name is Mike Stegman and even Harley has used him. Guy is a genius when it come to setting up maps. He also has hundreds of maps set up for guys to have downloaded into their bike. He had his own specialty shop and tune shop for Harley's. George Latus got a hold of him and bought him out and put him in his Portland dealership. He does all the Latus race bikes for years now including his Triumphs and all the Dyno tuning at Latus. He trains other techs and Harley is always on the phone with him. He has guys from around the country that come to him to tune their bikes. He tuned our 110 bikes with the Sert and we do not have to go back and change anything. We also get high 40's (45-49) MPG normal riding and at higher speeds 40-42. Don't ride two up anymore. But the point is my Sert is working great.
This guy has tuned bikes with all kinds of different cams and setups. You should email him bet he could help you to.

The TM replaces the physical ECM, so it's another companies ECM, and
I think he's got the Auto Tune (AT) system, so it should adjust it'self..

CB Fuelmoto is an authorized TM center, so I'd bet Jamie would be
willing to work with you because you bought some of their parts for
    your bike.

You pull the ECM fuse, Unplug the Factory ECm and plug the TM in.
You will need to however have a set of pipes that will accept 18mm Bungs.
That is another reason to get the Fuelmoto Stainless header pipes.
It has both the 12mm and 18mm bungs in them.

The 18mm are for the Wide Band auto tune sensors.

And the changes I was talking about. Is upgrading cams. Header pipes, High flow air kit, Etc.

You gotta be nuts that would void my warranty instantly. I would never do that.

Well yes and no, under federal law you warranty cannot be voided for simply installing a part, the manufacturing company has to prove the part that is installed caused the damage. So say your speedo stopped working, they can't simply void the entire warranty because the TM is on the bike.

Now some dealers would try and get that past you to sell more HD stuff, when in fact even HD's super tuners technically "void the warranty" or are for "off road use only" to get around EPA regulations.

Magnusson Moss Act protects consumers from these issues.

Now if the engine took a dive from running too hot or lean, then yes they could void out the warranty, and claim the TM ECM caused it, at that point, get a lawyer to back you up and get your claim fixed... You may be right buy you're gonna pay... to prove it, maybe win it back in a judgement...
