it will lower your compression, but it still wont change your deck height, which you want as close to 0 as possible ( I machine the base of the cylinders)

the tighter the quench the better the cylinder burns fuel!. less prone to detonate !the less the combustion chamber needs to be reduced the better the chamber is going to work I agree with Kirby check the deck and mill it if its needed.if its 1 or 2 thou in the hole don't worry about it . if its 6 to 10 deck it

Fuelmoto has his site. He said just put the kit togeher,

I was worried about the deck height.
And I was wondering what he set the CC's at on the heads for a Woods 555 cams
He said it would be 10.25.1
And he send a 30' headgasket with the kit.

I think the 555 woods cams needs the extra compression.
In all of his videos on his site, he don't show checkin the deck height or nothin.
    Just assembly.

    Seen y'all on Harleytecktalk.

Do you know anything about the kit they sell ?

    Thanks.

I just wouldn't go with the "its OK,no need to check it" and check it,not like it takes a long time or is a pain in the ass to check

ok then lets get the info . and lets do the math . what pistons are you getting cb . dome or flat tops . you stated your getting 0.30 head gaskets . all I need to know at this point is the cc value on the heads and what dome volume the pistons are . and I can let ya know what your compression will be after you tell me how far in the whole you are . till then we all are guessing . . the 555 have an intake close point of 41 deg I would not push them past 10.25 with out an excellent tune!

ok with a flat top piston at zero deck and the chambers down to 88 . and a bore of 3.938 and a 4 3/8 stroke your static will be at 10.15 corrected comp with the 555 will be 9.31 . so to get 10.25 with a flat top your gonna have to mill more off the chamber .

I got no idea what the CC on the heads are.
Asked and from the tech told me was just put the kit together.

    I understand williamscarbs done them.

Don't want to stick this motor together and have a problem.
Seems like everything is a Secret.

    I should get everything tomorrow.
Can open it and look inside. But I bet there is nothing gonna tell me nothing but assembly.
I know the deck height has to be checked.
Was told they send 30' head gaskets.
When I find out what all I have.
Plan on taking a day to take everything off the bike and probably take the rocker arms off 1st. Pulll the pushrods.
Then do the cams and after that tear the rest of the top off and pull the cast pistons and replace them with the Fuelmoto Forged pistons.
And put the jugs on and measure the deck height.
And then if that is good. All I know is to put the heads on it.
Or try to take them to somebody and see what the CC is set at.
Unless I can call Monday and get the info on the CC.

    Thanks.

Think I read they was something like 3*. Not sure.

Not sure what all has been done to the heads.
They did the jugs, gapped the rings in the kit. did the heads and sold the cams.
Hope they have some info in the box.

When you get the stuff post what piston part # is from cp that will tell me what the dome volume is .then we can subtract that from the chamber volume and figure out what the compression is if you cc the head's
