A Amsoil Oil engineer told me it didn't make any difference.

    http://www.roadcarvin.com/tech/synthetic-oil-during-engine-break-in

When you bought a new SE bike, it came with Synthetic oil in it.
You broke it in with synthetic oil

So what am I to believe.

    I got Mobile 1 synthetic.

    They didn't say.
And y'all got me to thinking to investigate.
Think I will call Tech Support with Fuelmoto and ask them today.
Need to go find some different gaskets for the breather. Or umbrella valve area.
Still waiting on a ACR tool too.

A new top end build,I usually change the oil at 50 miles, then go another 250,then another 500,then 1000...Kind of a waste of money to use syn oil for those short mileage changes, when Dino will do the job just fine...even if you went 50, 500 then 1000...

Feulmoto said ride it 1000 miles and change it.
    That's what I've always done.
They got thousands of these kits out.
Took a lot of care to make sure everything went together with a lot of assemble lub and oil on parts and everything torqued to factory specs.
It has a oil filter to filter out any small parts of metal that might come offand a oil plug with a magnet on it.

A magnetic drain plug is one of the great inventions of mankind. I agree with what Lucifer said. Also, I have heard & read that whatever type of oil you use, stick with it.

That's why I go dino oil on break in, you're gonna change it at 500, no reason to run synthetic. Most engine builders suggest it, either way oil is oil...

Called Fuelmoto. They said to drive it 500 miles with Dino Oil and not sure about the 2nd oil change.

The tech wss on the phone.
They are gonna email me about what they want me to do.

HD dealer and Amsoil said it don't make any difference.

I'm gonna do what Fuelmoto says.

My last engines I broke them in with synthetic.

You can do it, but I"d do what the guys giving you the warranty say to do...

HD 360 Dino is good oil, not a big wallet buster, I'd get a black oil filter too and change it at the 500 back to chrome.

You can cut open the filter and see if there is any debris...

I'm with HRK and Lucifer, I never use syn oil to break it in. I also run it 100 miles then to 1000 on dyno oil then at 1000 drain the dyno out and run syn oil. Mobile 1, V -Twin is good oil. I'm using Schaffer oil for V -Twins now. That is some good oil but like Amsoil yea got to buy from a distributor.

I see why the socket needs to be cut away like that. Waiting for parts (or tools) is always a drag - but when they come, I'm like a little boy in a candy store.

should have just got a regular socket & milled a slot in it,thats what I did (the HD socket is prone to breaking very easy too)

If you look at the ACR valve it has a square slot on one side of it.
And its also got the cutout on up the socket for the wire coming out of the ACR valve and plug to clear.

Yeah, looks the same as the one I made for adjusting the signal light/spot lights on FL's...cut a slot in it up about 1/4" then a wider cut out higher so the wires wouldn't bind when I tightened/loosened them....smoothed the sharp edges too so it wouldn't cut the insulation....Paid around $5.00 for the socket

My Buddy that loaned me one from Indiana sent me one and its a Black 12 point socket. He's decided to sell it to me.
Acr's are not in so tight that it will break before I get them out.
