ok here is what i did when i built my big max output 98 .and 95 . got the brembo brakes off a late model street glide with hoses and late model front caliper .bought them from sunshine harley outlet here in sunrise florida . cost 350.00 that was a complette take off kit rotors and all . made billiet inserts for the rear wheel at the adjusters for the axle to go in the swing arm witch is the week point were they crack . barnett extra plate clutch with spring .stock clutch hub stock 5 speed decent starter cables . stock starter .at 205 psi cranking pressure with compression releases i had no problems . dtt for ignition big pep **** big carb .hrk needle . and it was good to go .57,000 miles later and i got a late model bike . it now spends more time at the dealer for repairs under warr .than me riding it .grrrrrrrrrr!had to drop it back off sat ,and i told the genral manager i dont want it back till its fixed . biggest pos i ebery bought!atr least my early model bike never left me on the side of the road .made me work al;ot on it . but at least it was never down on the side of the road in 10 years

60mph is 60mph. PERIOD! Just because one has a big inch engine doesn't automatically mean that brakes need to be replaced or upgraded.

to be honest johnny you are correct about that 60 is 60 . what i did notice was with the dual piston calipers 60 to 0 when i had the other brakes was a whole hand grab during a quick stop situation . versus a two finger light squeeze.

No, but it's a good idea ...Be nice to have a stronger set of brakes in front that new motor...

I got the email sent off to the builder yesterday about build criteria. Now I am just waiting to hear back with his quote. I am guessing around $6500.

The best brakes there is is to not ride like an asshat or beyond the bikes limit.

I also decided that I am going to go ahead with the EFI conversion. I am about 80% that I will be using the tts with Auto tune.

True, but you're raising the bikes limits with the 117"....Upgrading the front to a set of Brembo take offs is something you might want to keep in mind...

no auto tune for tts . i suggest for your ability and user friendly and a first time efi guy the power vision is much better to pop your cherry with and it is a clone of the tts . they do sell an auto tune kit for it also

i like the fact of real time data and gauges on the move . the auto tune kit builds a ve table for your air fuel ratio requested , i like it . but if i would have bought one doc would have cut my balls off and to be honest my number 1 choice is the tts .i was super familiar with the se tuner and the tts for years so i know how to use it its not for a first timer .that has little patience . you could learn it but you will get super mind ****ed
