Now that's one option I never considered, but would look nice! It's a whole lot easier to paint one base color on both side...

    Pipes fitted

The Hi-N-Tight pipes fit well after a little modification to the mounting brackets.

What spark plugs would you guys recommend in a hot 1250?

So far haven't gotten any complaints from neighbors or the school since I now make more "noise" with shortened baffles.

Nice work, Cap't! Sorry, don't know what plugs to recommend or the gap . . . you got a special set up. Bet Lucifer would know.

    Re: Pipes fitted

Pipes look sharp:D like the heat shield.....

Just a standard plug of your favorite brand gapped .038-.043" no need for fancy expensive plugs....you may need to go to a hotter or colder plug, but unlikely.....my hot rod Evo 10.5:1 static just used a standard Champion RA8HC

    Re: Pipes fitted

Thanks Lucifer, that's what I was figuring too so got the Autolites & will gap them at 38 thou to start cuz they'll open up some when they get hot anyways. If they act like glow plugs then I will go a step colder & thanks again!

Even though your pipes are curved on the ends, you could still put lollipops in if you find your mid range power is dropping off. Maybe you won't, though, but most who have straight pipes lose torque in the 3000 RPM range, give or take.

The lollipops will increase the torque and have very little effect on the sound! Dyno & seat of the pants proven.

Yep, in order to tune it for more torque I order the small baffles that go with the straight pipes, but the wont fit the turnout. I think I'll need something flexible. What are the lollipops you're referring too?

    Thanks!
