That rear fender looks swooped up enough to actually deflect some water LOL. Looks good, buddy, and I love that blue.

Well I figured I could wash my back in that hard to reach place when I get caught in a T-shower:)

The Blue is an actual Porsche color code from the old days called Royal Blue

Only a frog hair! Had a 51T rear sprocket, but had to go to 48T. It cleared the 51, but no room for slap, so 48 was required. I went witj the skinniest mooneyes tank they make and if it becomes an issue I'll have to make a springed pulley to hold the chain down. Just one of those things you have to deal with when doing anything custom...the carb mounting bracket was a PITA too;)

Blue is my favorite color and if I could find a blue like that in flat, I'd use it. Black frame, blue everything else. Like a bruise - black 'n' blue.

I see you have an Avon Speedmaster on the front. I was told a story concerning that very tire (like mine): Guy said his went flat going about 40 or so and the tire went off the rim and he nearly crashed. I've put some "Ride On" tire goop in both my tires to hopefully avoid that scenerio. The Ride On also balances the tires nicely - you can remove the ugly weights off your rims or spokes.

Cool, I'll check on the tire goop & that blue is a base coat, so you can put a satin clear on it instead of gloss like I used...

Nah, too much work painting everything twice IMHO. I've been looking for rattle can flat acrylic enamel colors but have been unable to find any anywhere. Black seems to be the only color available in flat acrylic enamel.

It holds up well and if I get any rock dings or places that need touching up, I mask off if needed, feather sand, reprime & recoat. Seamless paint job every time.

Carb is plumbed and ready for final install. With any luck I'll get the clutch mounted and wired up this weekend.:)

I don't need all of this wire harness/squirrel's nest but there's so many wires running in all directions that it's hard to figure out what I can eliminate

Does anybody have a color coded wire harness diagram they can share or experience makin there own wire harness for a bobber?

    Here's a list of what I think I'll need:

    headlight (high/low) light switch
    ignition switch
    coil
    regulator
    starter
    tail light/brake light switch

    That's about it...

you'll need basic wires for headlight, tail running and brake light,
plate light,, headlight will need a relay and can run off the key switch but run power
to a relay so you don't burn up the switch.

If you are going to run high and low, that means two power wires to Headlight.
if you can find an LED headlight it will draw less power.

    presume you won't have TS.

    Should be simple

Need battery to frame ground, you might run a second ground to
the starter mounting bolts (presume it's not a kicker only)

a basic diagram for a sporty would work, just eliminate circuits you
don't have. A small fuse block from an auto parts store with enough for
your lights and igintion, coil etc...

No turn signal module needed, just a basic old school bike with a few fuses and relays;)

Updated list has enough stuff on it that I'm still condsidering just modifing the stock harness. Anybody know where I can find a good color wire diagram to use to help sort this squirrel nest?

    headlight (high/low) light switch
    ignition switch
    kill switch
    dyna 2000i ign module
    coil
    stator/regulator
    starter
    tail light/brake light switch

I'm guessing no wires to the switches up front other than high/low, Horn, (you need a horn some people can't read lips or sign language) you can get a simple switch at Radio shack, run the wire in the bars for the switch vs hd stuff.

Run the Hi/Lo off a relay, do not run power to the switch in the bars direct from the battery, just a relay.

Lay out the stock harness and pull out what you don't need...

however I'd be inclinded to BMO you won't need many wires..

LOL, I've got an S&W .40 that they'll hear, but may be too late when they do...JK;)

I'm thinking about running the start button and kill switch too, so I'm still leaning towards untangling the squirrel nest and using those plugs, but not before finding a good color schematic;)
