I'd bet though it's 10 to 1 EFI to Carb,
one is the cost, this was done more often with the
old MM EFI system which had a lot of limitations based
on the system that HD chose, MM is a good system
Ducati runs it, but the way HD did it wasn't optimum
so if you wanted to make power, the parts and ability
    to tune was limited.

Delphi is much better and easier to make power plus
you have a lot more options on filters, intake, injectors
    etc.

YOu could get a cv40 take off and intake where someone
hotrodded a carb bike for next to nothing, biggest headache
is the wire harness and connections. Going EFI to carb you
can disconnect a bunch of stuff the cost is time.

Going to EFI you have to add a new harness, ecm, sensors
    etc.

    Can you do it, sure.

Of course there are some advantages to EFI, but I feel they are way too complicated and costly to convert over and maintain. All that stuff in the gas tank is a turnoff for me. I'm guessing you're looking for more performance. I hope it works out for you :D.
