I just bought a 2008 Hayabusa with only 900 miles on it. I drove it home from the dealership where it had been kept inside. Then had to leave it outside for the first night and following day while I was at work. When I got off work that same day I took it riding and noticed gas was leaking from under the bike in a few places. But when I stopped riding and set still the leak stopped after a few minutes. Why is the bike leaking gas?

l got that as well, suggested he video and get pictures, call
the dealer and ask them to come pick up the new bike since
it's leaking fuel, hot exhaust and gas fumes don't mix.

There is the possibility that he overfilled the tank and with the hot
weather it's got an overflow line, most HD's have one for overfilling.

Otherwise, leaking injector, leaking o-ring, cracked and leaking fuel line
    are possible causes,

Whatever the cause, I wouldn't ride the thing without an asbestos
fire suit and a fire extinguisher..

+1 But, don't overlook the strange. My Suzuki I had started leaking gas one day and it turned out to be a stress crack in the underside of the gas tank. From the stamping of the metal.

    Very good point.

Wonder if we'll ever hear how it turns out?

Dylan if you want to be a member fine, but please stop referencing TUB in every tech post, there are people here from Europe, Australia, New England, etc, they are not all going to come by that shop.
