Gas has no life to it, looses octane rating pretty fast
    Ethanol attracts water real fast
When you buy gas sometimes it's hard to know how old it might be
And the gas has ethanol in it
Ethanol does some weird stuff , especially when it gits old
Jets can hit stopped easy if a bike sits very long
Fuel injected seems to run better on it
I'm scared what gas might be like in the near future
if you worked with 2 strokes much you'd understand it a little better
    To you gas is gas

Don't give up man. I routing for you.

I got 2 things to say:
1: It was wrong to put EFI on EVOs.
2: If you need a bunch of sensors to run your motorcycle then you should just go buy a Honda Goldwing and stop whining. Get that airbag while you at it.

And to that I say, if your happy having a bike that spends more time in the garage with you working on it--then you must be in paradise.

I bought mine to ride and take me distant places where I don't have to worry about getting there and back. I eat Goldwings for a snack.

My '08 (96") is bone stock except for pipes, air cleaner, and a $200 fuel processor that will eat any stock 103" or 110". I'll put money against ANY shovel, Evo, or Sporty that doesn't have a 124" motor. Put that in your carburator and smoke it!

Ever since I converted FROM EFI to CARB it has been AWESOME. Starts every time. I don't spend anymore time working on it like I did for 10 F-ing years when it was MM FI. It is 100% more dependable now than it ever was. Your comparing apples to oranges anyways. I have a 98 (with 100,000 miles on it) your playing with new bikes. Big difference. Don't start to assume things about someone you don't know.

And if you have to spend 7 grand for an engine that will beat a Goldwing,,,,, then you made my point.

Thunder-Max had a tuner to covert from the MMI to the TM with Auto Tune.

I know, I looked into it. I wanted to go that route too unfortunately it was going to cost over a grand because I would have had to change the throttle body because it wasn't compatible with Delphi.

The carb conversion was tricky and all together it true-fully cost $600+ and I was hoping less. I did what I did and I have been very pleased, besides i finished it over 2 years ago. I like the simplicity. don't get me wrong.. I would love to trade it in for a limited but I can't afford it right now. I want to run this thing into the ground. We'll see how it does on my trip to sturgis this year.

My Evo has 140,000+ miles on it,only time it was in the garage getting worked on was when I wanted to do something to it

Comments like that is partially why it went in the garage:roflmao: Once it came out, those comments died off pretty quick;)

I agree with the other guys posts, as long as your knees are in the breeze, all is good:D and everybody loves their own bike(s) for whatever reason they bought or built them...

My last two twin cams had about 85,000 on them
The Twin cam is the best motor Harley has produced
Got a lot of friend riding twin
    Cams without any problems
you can't 1/2 way do somethin to them and expect performance from them
Evo' had their share of problems and had their weakness
Why is so many folks buyin new bikes if they are no good
And in about 3 weeks the 2012 will be out
