Glad I'm overworkd n underpaid so I don't have to bother with this new stuff, just putting miles on the old Sportster and saving my coins for when the economy collapses and I can buy all these rich folk toys for cheap. The new Indian line does look nice though...

I went and looked at the 2014 Ultra Limited today and liked the new look. Not real wild about the reduced air flow for the rider and the motor from the lowers vent. The lowers storage is way less with the addition of the coolant storage bottle. Do like the vent in the front of the fairing. The new screen in the dash will take some time getting used to. Think for some old school guys that it may be over whelming. The new latch system for the trunk and side bags is a huge improvement. There are now new hinges for the tour pack and not sure about the new tether for the lid, looks weak and allows the lid to extend to far over. The coolant is a special Harley coolant they say, yea right. Heard someone say how do you add more fluid to the radiator, good question.
Oh yea the worthless air temp gauge in the dash is gone. :D

That gauge is now part of the radio

They sold five while was at dealer. Buddy bought a new 13 heritage two tone with engine guard and luggage rack for $17 out the door.

    Heck of a deal

Yeah his wife came out and said he can't ride with us anymore LOL

I told her thats a problem because next Sat we were planning a ride
to a boat store in Daytona. LOL

Other part of the deal was the used bike had the engine guard
and luggage rack and they moved them over as part of the deal..

Seminole HD did him right... Todd the Mgr did a good deal...

There are guys in their 70s and even 80s that still ride. Met a Korean War vet in his 80s who still tours. He seemed to be in pretty good shape and was riding a red Road Glide. I think when I get to the point I don't feel like kicking it over anymore, I'll hang up my riding boots. Like you, I hope that happens before the Big One.

They also moved the tourpack back like 2"
And the backrest has a lot more padding.

Seen some folks there yesterday that was complaining tht they screwed up, traded a ultra in on a SE Ultra and have psyments for 5 more years.

Lot of people was saying. It's the 1st year of water cooled. They will not buy it.
I went going to trade bikes till I seen the water cooled and the screwed up tourpack.
I said no thank you .

Problem is they made it a little wider, but screwed up by not making the tourpack as deep.
The saddlebags are great the way they open.

The 1st 2 things that would have to come off is the heel shifter and the ugly air breather.
Don't know which shoe salesman Harley hired, but they should fire him and offer their customers a new air cleaner,

Somebody on a forum said the GPS is not garmin. Don't accept the older format. Just digital format.
And there is no fitting to grease the neck on the steering head. You have to take it every 25,000 miles for the dealer to do it.
    This is BS

+1 I thought pretty much the same thing when I went to go and look at them. That air induction system sucks as well as far as the looks goes. Maybe it works well, but one of the first comments I made was that with the vented lowers, one could be possibly robbing the bike of air. another observation that I made and some may disagree, but there is no real good place to put an oil cooler. the front is all jumbled with the coolant lines so that eliminates options for an oil cooler.
