That's why I always buy used bikes. Let someone else find all the problems.

And what about when a bike with problems gets traded in and they don't say anything about it. I've seen it happen several times.

Those usually are very low mileage. I tend to go for ones that have mileage on them. So you know they've been ridden. I stay completely away from garage queens if you would.

Cowboy I laid on my back one time in a camp ground pulling a water pump on a Goldwing and it was around 100 degrees out. Have had to fill the water tank on over heated Goldwings more than once. Not thanks to water cooled bikes, I'll stick to my air cooled Harley's .

Tell that to a friend of mine who bought a used 08 Copper Top with 18,000 miles on it. Had electrical problems that left his stranded out of town. Dealer finally had to take it back as nobody could figure out what was going on.

it's just one of those things.
too early to start seagull posts about the WC Limited.

THing is a lot of dealers are marking them up, if the problem
is in the manufacturing process, which is what I bet or the delivery prep
it best get sorted out pretty quick.

It's also probably the reason you have to bring in the 14 baggers at 25K for
a bearing service aka $500 for them to remove the front end, pack bearings
and look for wear on the new design, aka, road tester.

I'll wait a year or until the end of the model year... Let them get the
bugs out on the first buyers.

It's a casting flaw in the overflow hose....Harley released a service bulletin for the fix...Maybe when I'm ready to buy a used one in 2020 the bugs will be worked out lol ;)

    Here's the fix...

Good find on the service bulletin Lucifer. However I have a feeling in 2020 they will be completely water cooled.

You're probably right. Hang on to your air cooled bikes, boys - they will be much sought after by collectors and riders in the future.

Appears that some of the units are getting out without a sealer (Hylomar) being applied to the
overflow hose, maybe it's a casting issue on the plastic bottle but the TSB says to inspect for
the sealant if it's there don't do anything, if it's not, RNR the bottle and use Hylomar.

Sounds like some got through production incorrectly, kind of surprising I'd think they would have a QC
on first production to check everything on the WaterGlides.

Not Harley. They use their customers to find problems.
