One clean machine! I had a '72 XLCH - first year of the 1000cc motor. I think the seat on the one you're buying is aftermarket.

Yeah, I just got my dreams squashed by Hot Rider. She won't let me buy it so I guess this is the end.

Thanks for the relevant information. ;)

Got a 73 last of the right hands. Hard tailed it this winter ironhead are tough little jewels but hop them up some you need to make sure the transmission is good to go. Considered one of the most obnoxious engines from harley

Very true, Ironhorse. My '72 had a slipping clutch (a lot of them did that year) because the motor was upped to 1000cc's. Heard lots of stories about how the kickstart Sporty's wrecked many a knee.

I couldn't do that to Kim. Although I thought about it for split aecond. I will let this one go and just be depressed. :D I understand what her reasoning is, and she is absolutely right. Oh well there will be others. Who knows, maybe in a year it will still be available. It isn't like I won't know how to find out.

She was happy with the replacement, but I still heard it every now and then until I sold the shovel...she'd look out the window and say "Yep still there!!"
