Yep, y'all read it right, boys. Got to sell the ol' sled. Need to put a roof on the house and this is the only way this is going to happen. There are other reasons, but that's a big one. Asking $6500. Particulars on request. Josh

I hope something changes and you don't have to sell it, I know how much you like it and it's finally running perfect.

That thing was a labour of love, I'm hoping something comes up where you don't have to sell.

Get on the roof. Screw some treated 1x6 boards down.
Buy some tin. Get some screws for the time with the caps and rubber washers and screw them down. You get a good roof. And it will last forever.
You don't have to have expensive tin either.

You've spent enough on learning how to repair an Old bike to put a roof on your house.

    Plain corragated silver is fine.
And they have side covers and a rood cap.
And a valley for the center of 2 roofs.
    Just takes a little work.
Last roof he will ever put on.
My next roof will be a cheap silver tin roof.
I got a electric drill. A skill saw & jig saw & hole saws.
    Can do it by myself.

People at metal places will explain it to you too.

Cardboard you need a silver roof down there where yer at to reflect the sun in the summer. Good colored roof adds the the look of the house.

My House if high off the ground. But I have a carport cover to get on and use a ladder.
I like silver. Got a neighbor that bought an old house. Had a silver corragated roof put on. Looks good. And with silver you don't have to worry about cleaning them like you do white or something else.
    And silver tin is cheaper.

A tin roof is really easy to put on. All you for to go is to a place like Muellar.
And talk to them. You don't have to buy nothing there. But I like their silver corragated roof.

You will never wear it out either.

I have a thick fiberglass roof over my shop that looks like the corragated roof and never have to worry about rust and it has never leaked. Been on their for over 40 years now. The underside of the shop roof is insulated to so doesn't get hot in the summer either. Tin roofs are cheap and a good way for Josh to go.

We have hell storms here. They are tough on fiberglass that has sit in 100+ degree sun.
I will take a cheap corragated silver roof. What will you replace a piece of two of tin.
And if they rust a little. You can brush them and repaint them silver.
They have been on Barns forever
And even if it rust and you don
t replace it. They have some rubber silver paint you can use to paint on over it.
Whos gonna be here in 30-40 yrs.

I will be 65 in august.

That blows big time Josh....A lot of Blood Sweat and Beers went into that bike....There are roof coatings that are a lot cheaper than a new roof and last for years...Hope you can find another solution....

I went for a ride yesterday - it was 75 out - unbelievably warm for this time of year. Today back to normal - low 50s and by weeks end down to the 30s. So, getting a ride in yesterday changed my perspective a bit. I've been really sick the past couple of weeks and all kinds of weird things have been going through my brain. Selling my bike was one of them. I'm trying to find another solution to the roof problem; one that I can do myself. Maybe a coating, maybe new shingles. Looking to extend the roof another 30 years or so with a minimun of cost and labor. Estimate for a roofing company to do it was $6400 for a 2000 square foot roof.
