    Ebay usually has them on there,you can usually get one for a decent price...you can also find CV carb to manifold adapters for shovelheads there...

    I have a Super G off my 124 but that is waaaaay too much
    carb for the bike.

    Super E is workable but still large for that size engine so if you find
    a good deal on an E you could go that route.

    However the cv40 (stock cv for Evo and Twinkiees) will work
    and you'll get better mileage and response.

    I'd look on the message boards in the for sale section, craigslist locally
    and Ebay for a good one with the adapter for your specific bike.

    Didn't Chuck put one on his Panhead? If I remember right he did. I have not been on in awhile. Maybe he can tell how it worked out.

    I have a 85 fxrp or police bike, no fairing. just into 1,000 dollars with the dealer trying to get the crab right. two kehin rebuilds later, he told me to order an S & S. rather have the mileage and premier performance from a CV but didn't know anything about them. had my bike run great till this august. (crud in gas tank, all downhill from there)

    I run stock, 160 main jet and 50 secondary jet. do not need high performance. sooooooo, any thoughts on:

    1. why the carbs won't idle but free flow (run high idle then quit) and

    2. what would be better for stock, s&s or CV carb for new one?

    anyone want to hit me in the head for letting the dealer get to 1,000 bucks?
    I sure do...:cussing::cussing:
