Stage 2 heads so the heads will breath better. 1.9 exhaust.
Great going from a 88 to a 98cu motor. Might use a little more fuel if you don't know how to take it easy.
But feeling the power, it might be super hard to control the wrist.
The feel of power is like doing drugs.
Tear it up and build another one. Its just money.

Ran a build HD motor with my 103 a couple weeks ago. It didn't walk off nor leave me. I felt good that my heavy bike performs as good as it does.

Haven't run any of his cams. Don't even have a link for them.

Running a Thunder-Max I would have to see what a set if close to so I would know which map to use even if I stuck a set in.

The early casting Camelback heads were what, 1.94" intake and 1.5" exhaust? My valves are 1.9" and 1.625." I would say that they are pretty big and they were recommended by someone here on this forum. So, that is what I went with. Yes, it should run pretty good.

the 1.900 valves arnt considered real big valves here, but we use them on most milder builds, get into the 2.0-up and your getting into big valves.i think the 1.900`s will be fine for your build as long as the ports & bowls are contured properly.like i said before, they should be in the 155-160 cfm range @ 10" (260-270 @ 28")

tc2 made exactly 88 when it was an 88 . and made 99.6 when it was a 98 with stock valves . and just bowl work . im running kirbys stage 2 heads now and s&s 585 now and a thunder header have not dynoed it since the upgrade but it will break the rear tire with roll ons in second so the ass dyno is happy:roflmao:

I dropped off my cam plate and cams today so we can get the bearings and cams pressed back in. Soon I will be riding in a very comfortable 65* weather breaking in this bitch. :D

It used 3/4 qt of oil in about 1500 miles,no visible leaks, wanna do a compression check and leak down...seems to run well, but the top end overheated when it got starved....I don't think that's good to use that much oil in a short time, even though I ran it hard the last run I was on,that would be way to much out the breathers I think...

Cast SE flat top pistons, rings were with the kit, jugs pistons and rings came from kirby,so I'm not sure what the rings are made of... I use 20-50 fossil, last run was in Sept wrecked my back shortly after (mid Sept) had to get a buddy to come take the bike out of my yard to put it away,it's been sittin' untouched since then

Well leak down will show you much more than a compresion test as far as ring seal goes . Was there a lot of oil in the airfilter area ? I would ride it more and make sure your checking the oil right after you shut it down .
