As of now there is not a lot going on as I am awaiting to finish the break in period. Weather is supposed to get nasty again but there are things that we can talk about. Another change that was made and the jury is still out for me whether or not that I like it or not is that BaggerPaul had suggested to take off the football and just run the A/C open with the dark Custom Logo. I said sure why not. Well, when i am rolling on it, I can hear the big asss enginge sucking that air. :gah: I am not sure that I like that. For now I will leave it, I am sure that it will grow on me.:D

Here a couple of pictures of each one......

I've got the H-D Ventilator A/C.(open all around) and the front of the filter gets clogged with bugs real fast. wish it had a wind screen on it. BUT it does look cool. Kinda sounds like the 60s commando Dodges

Vote for Football, looks stock, stealthy sleeper look....

Open element is fine but you get in a massive downpour and your engine can start sucking
in water, have had it happen to me here a few times with a big open element, had to pull off and let the rain go away...

Yep...I like the football too...You can get a rain sock to go over the element, helps keep the bugs out and a little rain...but it'll sputter n spit if you get caught in a good rain...
I was running an open element for a while a few years back and rode by a ladies softball team having a car wash....had to sit there for 3hrs watching them waiting for the filter to dry...;):D

Now if it were a 750 CFM or bigger double pumper Holley on top of let's say a 400 cubes or better I would definitely want to hear the carb suck

How well do those socks work? Do they keep all rain out or not. My wife went and bought one for me but I haven't put it on just yet. Do they work well or not really?

I liked it too....just rains too much here to run an open element....

I didn't get one JB,but, no, it wont keep all the rain out, since you have one though...it'll give you a good excuse to go for a rain ride to find out:D...It won't hurt anything other than a little spittin' and sputterin' and de-carbonizing your pistons;)

well its got just about the same bore and stroke !its a mini small block and the same valve size to boot ! YA THINK ITS GONNA SQUAK A BIT OUT THE CARB GUMBA ! its almost 100 ci two cylinder try to put your hand over that carb just off idle! TELL ME WHATCHA THINK. LMFAO just some info 350 chevy 4.00 inch bore-3.48 stroke. 98 ci harley 4.00 stroke 3.938 bore hmmmm. bigger stroke than a chevy 0.62 diffrence in bore seems to me the harley would be a much bigger motor if ya add the cylinders up!

Hey JB, if BP says it sounds like four barrel sucking gobs of atmosphere I'm for that! Nothing cooler (except the whine of a supercharger)

Betcha he puts that foot ball back on and he will still hear it not as bad but with an echo sound of the cylinder even behind it as well as an echo of the event . He added air flow compression duration and lift and ci the thing has an intake track the size of a small ball . I can drop a ping pong ball down the intake head port!
