UPDATE.. As I had said, I had put back on the football air cleaner cover as I don't want to risk getting water in my new engine and also to hide the ugly breather tubes that I have on at the moment. I was out riding and I happened to notice that that the bike was a lot more snappy. I think that I may just leave the football on. As far as the noise of hearing the air being sucked in, I haven't been out on the highway yet with the football on to determine that one.

Thanks for the suggestions boys and Hot Rider. :D

Ok, as I approaching the final 100 miles of my break in period, here are a few observations that I have noticed that are going on. I have noticed that since I put the football back on, I occasionally get a carb fart but usually when the bike is cold. It is real hard for me to determine if it is the jetting or not because the ambient temp. is 45* in the morning then warms up to about 65*-70* and then it runs fine. (NOT THAT IT RUNS BAD). This is a setting that I know that I will have to just deal with until I can get it on the dyno and commence the fine tuning, but at the rate that I am able to get this done, it will be August!!:gah:

My next observation is in fact a ride-ability issue. I changed out my clutch spring and there are two things that are different. 1.) It is way harder to find neutral. 2.) When at slow speeds my bike seems like it is rocking back and forth like it is in the wrong gear but isn't. :banghead: Is this all fixable through adjustment at the cable??? Thanks....

clutch adjustment is as follows ! dont get creative and cut corners . back off cable complette . pull derby cover. loosen center locking nut back off center screw then run it in till you just feel a slight pressure on allen screw . than back it off a 3/4 turn hold allen tighten up locking nut . adjust cable till you have the gap of about a dime between clutch cable housing. the adjustment at the clutch drum has changed since it has more pressure at the pack!adjusting the cable is a band aid for proper adjustment !

Trouble finding neutral is often too much oil in primary case. a "LITTLE" low is fine.
