I thought he had compression releases. Or is he having a fuel at startup problem ?

That's funny! I reckon that's what happens when you got a muscle bound bike - you will be replacing a lot of stock parts from now on :roflmao:.

Today after a somewhat exhuasting week at work for some reason, I was able to muster up some ambition and I took the throttle side switch housing apart to see what it is that popped. As suspected, the throttle cable broke apart right where the keeper fastens to the grip. OH well, another one ordered and the Indy will take care of it right away. ;)

I had forgotten to mention what the carb jetting set up is for this result. Of course in conjunction with the ignition changes, the jetting that was used is a 220 main shimmed*2 and a 46 pilot instead of the stock 48.

I was going to go with the BW needle and jets but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the $200 for it. I like these results so I am happy with it. :D thought I would let you all in on what the set up is. :D

Whats a BW needle??....nice numbers JB:D...Could you lean those AFR's out a bit for even a lil more?? that TQ curve is awesome, where it climbs and peaks IMO...Looks like a real nice hi-way bike, and no worries about it over heatin'

BW=Bobby Woods. I guess I am not sure where it is that you think that they need to be leaner? In the beginning where you see the 10.0- is normal for when you first engage the sniffer and as you are rolling on. You see that they lean out progressively the closer to WOT that it gets. 13.6 is stioch (The perfect burn) and I am at 13.3-13.59 for a long ways in the rpm band and in the my operating band. I suppose I could spend another $400 for the kit that I would need in order to do it but I am not going to. That is damn near a perfect tune on a damn near stock carb.

well actually 14.6 is a perfect burn but lean for a high compression bike the dip rich is the accel pump squirt at roll on lets not chace numbers here feed the motor what it wants tune for power and speed top speed thats how you tune not the 13.2 af ratio i know of many a bike that run better at 12.2 12. 5 and idle smooth as hell at 14:5 and run cool they are all diffrent . Carbs are a little harder then efi to get them dead nuts 13:0 your gonna spend alot of time and you better take the rod of the pump and tune from there. Get a box of needles and a box of jets . Hes dead nuts on the main . And cruise is nice . Should run tits . Not to shabby for a po dunk country boy from minnesoooota
