replace the rear bolts for the intake
get rid of the hex heads, get allens,
then you can use an allen to put them on
    and it's half the work..

OK, I have been getting in the mood to get the breather assemblies installed into the support plates that I bought from DJL. I guess I didn't look this close to the stock ones but I happened to notice on the JIMS support plates that there are two holes on the bottom (floor) of where the breather assemblies are installed. What are those two holes for? Are they fro better draining? here is a picture.

Also, I happen to notice that the supports shafts kind of float around a little. Is this normal? I am asking because the stock support shafts in the stock suuport plates do not do this. :wtf:

Let me remember, if those 2 holes are not 1/8 or a 1nch I think its a good idea to drill them out before you put them on the bike.
I can contact my buddy to remind me.

:confused:You kind of answered my question without really answering it. I was talking to Smarty once and he was saying that there were a couple of holes that should be drilled out under the umbrella valve. Well, those holes are under the umbrella valve.

The rocker arm doesn't float, the shaft floats in and out. Just thought that it should be a bit more secure.

I am mot sure. Do you still have Smarty's information or if you could, could you ask ol' RedNectum about this? I had asked one of our guru's and he wasn't sure either. :D

Once the bolts are in the rocker shaft supports they don't slide back and fourth any more . That's what the machined knotch are for on the shafts shoulder on the bolts rest in that spot.

ah so I see what yer saying, put the bolts in the mounting holes, the shafts
have an indent for alignment, did ya put some assembly lube on the shafts first?

Leave the bolts in to hold them in place.

There is some of the mounts that have issues with side to side
movement of the rocker arm that leaves you with the tickity tickity noisey
top end. You'd need spacers on the ends (shims really) to set the end play
you shouldn't have lateral movement of the arms when mounted

that's what I thought you were saying..

Johnny when you drill the holes to 1/8 " its gonna let the oil got off the top end where the Oil and gases are there, and keep your bike from puking oil or carrying excess oil out the breather.

HD simply made the holes too small.
