......and waiting on some rain to wash the road.....[and waiting on the bike for that matter]..might have time to get some hockey in Fla before i'm able to ride.
But kinda back on topic..[the review] If memory serves me correctly, wasn't there some change in your final drive? Taller gearing or something? I'd be looking at that end if acceleration for passing is required.

Yes, there was some tranny work done, but I am thinking that it was just fourth gear. Not 100% positive other than to say that something was done. At 60 miles an hour I am at 2500 rpm. My issues are are mainly when I have the wife along, the bike just seems to me that it has to work a little too hard.

Ahhh, just got back from another ride though.

do you downshift to pull and pass at 60 mph or do you roll into it in 5th. I haven't had a Harley that jumps or pulls hard at 2500. Once you get them up over 3000 they seem to wake up.

I have done it both ways. I usually down shift into fourth. It helps to downshift but is really bad when I don't downshift. (sluggish).

When I had my TW6 Woods cam in my last bike, It got up and pulled when I had the OL on back and wanted to go.

Was hopin you could enjoy your bike without puttin a lot of money in it.
Then git it paid for and trade it in on a newer model with a bigger motor.

Know chucktx has a cam that pulls hard on bottom end and in midrange. and he has a 88 cu carb motor.
He can pass with no problem and he pulls a lot more weight than you.

You are probaly gonna wind up having to have the engine built to make you happy.
And then you are be going to say it uses more gas.:gah:

I am trying to avoid putting a whole lot money into it. That is the reason why I am looking into this cam gear. Should cost me less than $100. I haven't put any money in it other than gas and five bucks to have one of the saddle bag lids buffed.

Holy Shiit Batman..... Check out these prices.....http://www.woodcarbs.com/Retail Prices0105.pdf scroll down and look at what he wants for that with the purchase of cams. I would hate to see what he wants without the purchase of cams.....:banghead:

Tman Performance...I did a search and came up with an old HTT link that said he had the key for about $15...cheaper than Woods $65 for the key set...I think your gear is press fit...
I couldn't find the advance key on the site...may be worth a phone call though....

    I generally cruise at 3000RPMs.... 4th gear @60MPH on mine is 3000RPM's...but I don't cruise at 60 very much;)
