We were in the mid 70's today with puffy scattered clouds. Low humidity and felt really good especially riding with out a coat. Great day at the Good Vibrations Rally.

That actually sounds pleasant to me. My perfect temp is 60--don't need a coat and don't work-up a sweat. Living at a high elevation, I'm miserable when it gets above 82, and we don't get many of those days.

Rode up to Leadville (10,000'+ elev.) yesterday morn and it was 35 there. It's only 25 miles away.

Been a little cooler here the last couple of days here, but rain. Heat and humidity is going to be back....:witsend: No real worries though, I am tearing Whiplash apart so I will be in the cage over the weekend..maybe...

We rode about 300 miles today down to the coast to the Seaside Bike Fest. Small little rally but a huge tourist town. Rode down the coast to the Tillamook Creamery for some outstanding ice cream, mine was wild mountain Huckleberry, darn that was good stuff. Bought a loaf of their Tillamook Perper jack cheese and some awesome pepperoni. Then down the coast again and up the Nestucca river and over the coast range mountains and onto home. Had a doe waiting in the dark brush decide she would wait until I was right on her before she jumped out in front of me. JB, those ABS brakes work very well. Temps were 60's and low 70's today, just perfect and no rain.

Yes, that sounds like the perfect day ride: 65 deg., good cheese and wine, and ice cream for dessert.

My last ride was blueberry pie and coffee at 9, big juicey buffalo burger at 12, more cherry pie and coffee at 3. 250 miles and gained 5 lbs. Ha!

6th gear on my bike is perfect for long distance touring: 2,500 = 75
    3,000 = 85mph. It's also why I get 55-60 mpg on the highway.

Went for a ride with the Grey Ghosts yesterday over Cottonwood Pass to the little ghost town of Tincup. Tincup Pass and Hancock Pass are still closed with over 6' of snow.
