    It's all in the wind here...wind off the North Atlantic most off the week, temps hi 40's-low 50's... next day with Westerly winds temps went to high 80's...sucks the good outta ya with the high humidity... 65-70 is comfortable,normal summer temps here....beautiful scenery you have there...

    Don't understand those temps you're having. When I was there last year (April and May), temps were upper 60's and 70's, and no rain at all. I fell in love with the place. Everyone kept saying "global warming", but I couldn't say since our winters here are getting worse.

    This should make you feel a little cooler.....

    Toughest job on this island is being a weatherman LOL...yeah, last spring was great,not so good this year...you picked the right time to come...last week was Atlantic Regional HOG rally and the weather was absolutely lousy, 15 -20degrees below seasonal norms, windy and too much rain, last day of the rally temps went to 28*C(upper 80*F) for their ride around the Cabot Trail(at least they got 1 good day to ride)...Fall is the best season we have, mid August-mid October is best for biking,nice days and cool evenings

    I'd say that week of lousy weather was a fluke, but I'm not there.

    Our Summers and Autumn here (western half of the State) are glorious for riding, and I feel very lucky to live here. They can give the eastern half to Kansas for all I care.

    But still, I always wish for a cool lake to fish and paddle around when not riding. These lakes are only 5 miles away from me, but can't own any land around them.

    More of today. No grid-locked traffic, no fumes, no people, no guard-rails. Just blue sky and 80 degrees. No Tom, I don't get out much...
