I'd like an oil temp gauge too. The air temp means nothing. Yer getting heat from the engine, radio, ect. It can be 60 degrees out and my air temp gauge still says 90 or more. Then again, if I saw how hot the engine is running, it'd probably scare me, so ignorance is bliss ???
Maybe I'll put a clock in mine!! LOL (Ofcourse CB will say a digital calendar would be better..... LOL)

My Radio has a clock in it.

My air temp gauge is pretty close.

My bike came with a Oil cooler. It does more for me.
Got in traffic on my last bike and really got it hot.
Oil cooler will do a lot more than a oil temp gauge.
And a oil temp gauge in the oil dip stick hole usually don't last long.
The heat from the engine burns them up pretty fast.
Everybody I know that had them says they just didn't last and they kill the battteries all the time.
I can ask Siri with my Sena headset what the date is and she will tell me.:gah:

And Yes I am gonna be different..........
Chucktx is different....... He likes fishtails............

I like the air temp guage. When there's snow on the ground and I look at the guage and it says 40+ I know I'm not gonna freeze....:)

mine reads the ambient temp inside the fairing. Dark paint doesn't reflect like light paint does. so it reads on the warm side when sunny ...around 5-10 degrees F higher.

Yeah it does. That's just to say how worthless the air temp gauge is. Might as well have another clock as that thing. Maybe mine is just out of whack.
Maybe I could run a wire to the passenger seat and monitor what kind of mood the OL is in ????

put a wide band air fuel gauge in that spot that would be a very good gauge to have . think of what a good tool and gauge that would be .! your own personal riding dyno . and if it starts running ****y at any point you will know if it is the fuel or if you pick up trash in the carb or if you just blew an intake seal all before it becomes a problem!instanly
