I'm gonna moan and piss about somethin PERIOD.:D

The newer bikes has changed, and they are a little easier to work on.

But with a automatic tensioner on the newer bikes you don't need one.:gah:

Its like somebody was wanting to rebuild their Brembo calipers cause they was doing a Brake job on a forum.
Why you gonna rebuild yer calipers cause yer doing a brake job .
And Brembo don't have rebuild kits.
    Push the calipers back in.:gah:

Thanks for all the replys, I appreciate it greatly.
Oddly enough, even with all new hardware, gasket,
and cover all torqued to my shop manuals specs.
The top bolt STILL leaked. I am now tightening
them by hand a little after each ride. What a pita
    lol....
Thanks again for all the help : )

Did you put gaskets behind the two inspection cover bolts that go all the way thru to back of the case? I’ve seen covers leak because of the lack of a little round gasket there, they don’t usually come with a new gasket set, I make them out of the old gasket, I just cut one of the tabs and make a donut gasket for each of the studs.

Ya know, now that you mention it I noticed all the gaskets from J&P
come with the little doghnut gaskets. But the DEALERSHIP ones didnt!

And the leaks are from the long bolts! Hot dayum! Gonna git to work
    on that asap!

    Thanks! Hopefully thats the gremlin!

Thanks all for all the responce! I have to say I am very pleased
with the Genuine James® Primary Gasket Kit! After three sets of hardware and covers the stuff from J&P was tops. A differant tightening sequence
with pictures and descriptions. And the gaskets were heavy heavy duty.
The little O rings for the bolts added additional help.

I went to visit my parents in gods country up north, was a total trip
of 600 miles and not one little drop of oil escaped! Im sold on the James
    gaskets for life.

    Thanks for recommending the gaskets
Cardboard, I wouldn't have known about
    them otherwise.
I think it's odd that the dealership doesn't
include the little o-rings with a new gasket.
Anyway, the cover is still dry as a bone!

Gave her a fresh batch of syn3 and a bath
this morning :) life is good :biker:
