I got the Kimber for a Carry pistol. That is why I got it with an aluminum frame.
    Less weight.
If you want to hear what the guys that want a target pistol that is the very best and how they stack up. Then here.
    But I Don't competition shoot.
So I only want a pistol to shoot holes in paper. And is easy to tote. and don't drag my pants down.

But if I wanted a good pistol to shoot competition I think I would get a Springfield Champion operator, or a Range officer.

Already been looking at the Springfield Range officer Compact with a 3.8" barrel after I had the dude that runs the store to show me the Nighthawk., And the springfield Range officer compact, and the Kimber and the S&W 1911 with a 4" barrel.
He tole me specifically, If I wanted a pistol with a 4" barrel. I would get the Springfield Range officer Compact 3.8" barrel.
Shoots very good. And don't break your pocket book.

I don't like that colt because it has no front and rear sights just a groove down the barrel. Why would you want one of those. Can't put night sights on a Colt New Agent. Hard to even shoot at targets for practice.

The dude running the gun store said the same thing. He did't like it with no sights.
And he don't like the colt Defender for a Carry pistol. Its a all steel frame and too heavy to tote.

All this come up after I looked at the nighthawk.

I said what is the plastic parts people are talking about in guns.
He said you are talking about MIM parts. Molded injection Metal.
Your pistol grip safety may be made out of it. Its not make out of a piece of metal they cut out for a part.
That is when he picked up the Springfield Range officer LW with the 3.8 " barrel and said this is a very fine pistol to shoot and carry. And its accurate.

He said a Les Baer , Nighthawk, Ed Brown, Wilson combat are all full steel competition pistols. you are not going to want to tote them every much.

I personally like my Shield in 9mm loaded with hollow point ammo. It's light weight small. So it's easiable to conceal and light weight to carry. With defensive loads it's gonna put a bad guy down. The pistol also comes in 40 cal.

Sherieff here said they had a Dude about 6'7" and weighted like 385 lbs.
They shot him a few times and he kept shooting back as he was running .
He was high on meth. And never knew he had been hit.
Give me a 45. You will be shot once. And you ain't got to worry about knowing it.
    You will go down.

Was talking to one of my buddys. He was stating the Kimbers we have with a 3" barrel. He didn't think the Speer Gold Dot bullet would open up enough with the short 3" barrel.
I replied, dude, its a 45 it will take him down even if it don't open up.
Its not a 9mm like your XDm 3.8 compact 9mm.

    Glad you like your shield.
I wanted a 1911 Pistol with a safety when a round was in the chamber.
All I do it take the safety off and pull the trigger.
Its got the thumb safety and the grip safety.

All I do is pull the safety off and pull the trigger to.

Cops here in the Town of Canby had a guy that was charging them and they emptied their 45 cal into him. He to wouldn't go down, they said there was no blood left in him. He to was full of meth. Finally one cop reloaded and put a round in the guy's head then he went down. So don't matter what your shooting when they are full of meth.

One of the cops here said after they shot him with the 9mm.
One of the other cops shot him with a 40, knocked him on his AZZ he said.
Like you took a glass Ashtray from the 50's and threw it and hit him in the back of the head.

Shoot a 9mm and watch everybody around you.
Then shoot your 45 and watch everybody around you.
    The 45 draws attention.
People want to get away from it.

CB, can I use you to shoot my 9mm into to see how well it works.

You are flat out wrong Cardboard. The range officer compact weighs 28.5 oz. And the Kimber ultra carry weighs in at 25 oz. The Colt New Agent weighs 23 oz. Weights taken from Springfield ' s and Kimber ' s website.

So tell me again why the Colt is too heavy and not the range officer or kimber? I need a good laugh.:D

Tryin to hold the pistol with my left hand, without dropping it from 11' up in the air.
And I nearly turned it loose too.
Tryin to line up the sights and use my right hand to hold my samsung Galaxy s5, and use my finger and move the auto focus on the sights ,and use the same finger to touch the snap the picture button without dropping anything.
    It has a safety man.

All the OSP here carry S&W 40. Talked to a few and they said most accurate and reliable pistol they had ever carried. My Shield 9mm is hands down better than any XDS 3.3 9mm out there.

They have had problems with reliability the M&P 9mm shield is the reason they quit carrying them.
