They only have two down sides (IMHO) and those are weight and the price. It's hard to keep both down! I agree with you on all other points. For the long haul you can't beat 'em. To me, the Harley baggers are like the Cadillacs of the motorcycle world.

OK, most of the time I do not use Pandora on my phone when I am riding. Usually I am content to listen to the radio. Here is my problem... THE RECEPTION SUCKS!!!!!!

Is there a different antenna available that has better range? I am assuming that the antenna is the fairing. I have never taken the fairing apart to look for sure....... NO blooooteef needed.....Just a good antenna. Thanks....

Thats why GPS units should work on GPS signals.

You probably have the under faring am/fm antenna, it is
not as good as the regular one that should be mounted between the left
    bag and your rear fender.

Pull the outer faring and you will find it there
it is powered so it should have not only a connection to the
RF jack but a ground and power wire.

Make sure they are hooked up and the antenna mounted to the inside of the OUTER fairing., or, disconnect and take out, hook up the stock antenna wire it will probably
be hanging there, and then put a good shorty antenna from HD (made by JM) on the back mount between the fenders...

Do the Shorty HD antenna, it's made by JM and you don't have to go find one. It will barely be visible at the back

Other than that you get the under dash antenna and live with shiddy reception.

or download IheartRadio app and find radio stations you like

Frankly FM sucks, after iPod, XM, and Pandora.

I can't argue with you there that FM sucks. Another issue of mine and this is really hard for me to articulate, but I just don't like to bring a whole shiitload of things with me when I go riding. I.E. I like to bringing only what I absolutely need. If I use my phone for radio, then I have to bring my charger. Just takes up space. I know it may sound dumb, but I am just not willing to concede to a tour pak, DESPITE ITS BENEFITS...:D

I downloaded the Iheartradio app. Will I get whatever station I select or does it have to be local? I guess I will try that before I destroy the looks of my bike. :)

I have no idea what happened but all of a sudden my reception is almost always perfect?? Not going to screw with the antenna now I guess. I do like that Iheartradio app though. :D
