Tried out my Road Tech today on the truck and the windshield mount worked great. Got there and back without getting lost. Took a map just in case though :roflmao:.

That's exactly what I do - when I use a map or download from mapquest unless I print it. Hopefully I won't need to do any of that anymore.

If you set the screen up to show you where Home is and check the setup on the shortest or fastest way and learn how the unit works and what all you can do with it.Like touch things on the screen and watch what pops up.
And if yer sittin still you can gently drag the map across the screen without zoomin in or out. you might say WTF.
And you can touch the speed and other things on the screen. and look for the back if it displays it.
It will do a lot more that you realize.

Has somebody been riding by my house.
I go out in my Hanes so I can git the Dog to come back in the house.
And the neighbors dogs are constantly barkin.
I live in a small neighborhood.
    Everybody knows me.
And you'd be crazy to come and want my bike or me.
When most of my neighbors see me they run in the House.

Yeh. It has the potential of being a right handy gadget so long as it's used properly. Even thought the instructions seem to say not to, mine works better when I used my finger nail or a palm pilot len to navigate the screen rather than the tip of my finger. But the words of caution in the later postings are good too - even though a person might have an arsenal.

Wonder what the new gadget that's coming out from Apple will do. Its supposed to be a touch pad type system. I have used touch pad computers now for the business for years, love em. Wonder if they will have a built in Garmin system, not to use to route you but pull out and see if there is a nearby gas stop or place to eat. Don't want em on my handle bars.
