Oatman reminds me of a small Virginia City. It's an old mining town with mules roaming free in and out of the buildings. Only one mule today, it was too cold out :D

They claim that this bar has $60,000.00 in single bills stapled to the walls. It is inside the old Oatman Hotel that is the yellow building on the left.

I would have replied back sooner after getting back from Laughlin but I ended up on jury duty. Typically I just call in when I get those summons and they set me loose, but not this time. After sweatin it out a week in Laughlin I get placed on a jury for some gang banger. Guess the others had about as much patience as I did since it took us all of 5 minutes to give his ass 3x 25 years-life guilty sentences.

    But enough of those jackholes...

Laughlin as a vendor was an interesting experience and I got to talk to a lot of real cool people. Rather than running the typical Sham-Wow style booth telling people to come buy stuff, I set up a bunch of carburetors and showed people how to fix or upgrade them. It worked out great for a few people who were experiencing problems with their bikes upon arrival. I had them pull their carbs off in the lot and I fixed them up right their in the booth.

It was great meeting Tomflhrci98 out there, cool just shooting the breeze and finding out we are practically neighbors. Maybe next year Tom we'll ride out there together.

The first day out there it was over 100 degrees. Not being a veteran vendor of the event we ended up getting a crappy location facing into the afternoon sun, so from 1-5 there I was sitting in my white plastic easy-bake oven of a booth. The week slowly cooled off as the winds picked up, but still no escape from that late sun. I was so surprised to learn how cold it was over in Oatman, woulda given anything to be that cold.

Compared to previous years the place was really dead. I did get a chance to talk to some cool people from Hot Bike, Hotbike Baggers, K&N, and a new mag coming out called Bobber Magazine.

    Anyway, great to be back!

I try to stick with events that I can drive to. My business is small so I don't have the $$ to be flying or trucking to events too far away. The cost to do a show even as a small business is unreal! I'd rather ride there as a participant, a hellofa lot more fun :D

Great to hear it. Unfortunately I was pretty much chained to the booth 10-10 every day so I didn't get any choice pictures, just the couple of pics of the booth.
