The roads up until this point were underwhelming. Not terrible but just not what I was hoping for. There was a lot of hills and mild sweepers but that is about it. The colors weren't at their best but still really pretty for what was in force. A lot of red and yellows.

We came to Bayfield but we were disappointed due to a detour along 13 beside the lake. From there it was onto Superior and Duluth.

    Me and my
Me and pop use to attend Harley Rendezvous's together. He rode so it was him and his freinds and me and my freinds. It was the best of times. Attended probably 15+ rendezvous.

Once we got to Superior WI we crossed the bridge over to Minnesota. We headed north on MN 61. This pretty much hugs the shoreline of Lake Superior. Now this road was better as far as scenery went but it was a tad bit too slow paced for me but still very nice. Our point of redirection wasn't until Silver Bay to head west. At this point we decided to stop at a place called Gooseberry Falls. Kind of a popular stop. Here are a few of pictures of the Falls.

Nice..thanks for sharing, more importantly thanks for taking the time to take the photos. Many or most of us may or may not ever get out that way so its cool to see a riders perspective on an area Johnnybiker.

Unfortunately these are the only scenery pictures that I have. The picture taker was sleeping.

After we left Gooseberry Falls we continued on MN 61. When we got to Silver Bay we turned west onto a county road 4.

We continued west until we got to Aurora MN. Now this stretch of riding was nice. A lot of sweepers and mild hill climbs and decents. The colors we way better here than in Wisconsin. Again the weather wasn't blazing, a little on the cool side but we were not in full leathers to this point. Once we rolled into Aurora and took on some fuel, we all agreed that the temperature was starting to drop so we all leathered up.

From Aurora we headed south south east back to Superior and then back to Ashland in which from Superior we took U.S. 2 to Ashland.

Saturday was about a 350 mile day. We finished the day with going back to the same restaurant perch as Friday but this time we went to the sister place called the Alley. This place was more of bar scene but the had some dynamite pizza. After we ate, we picked up another growler and headed back to the hotel. It was raining pretty good so we called a taxi.

Nice to hear you guys are able to ride together and stretch your legs at some nice stops once in awhile. Sounds like a really good trip with company you can truly live with. Guess your lucky the wife talked you out of the Fla. move for awhile longer. Things usually work out for a reason.
