Bad day today

    didn't see the pitch of the roof from your photo but looking at the others in the neighborhood it looked like it was 30-40 degrees or so. 2 stories up that's starting to get out of my comfort zone. I've done some roofing, not a lot, don't really like it, especially carrying up the bundles of shingles up the ladder. Those 35 year shingles start to get heavy..but they sure lay nice though. up this way some crews tie off on the steeper pitches. When I'm working on machinery at the plant when i'm up that high we have to build a scaffold, use fall arrest and a bunch of other stuff..some of those roofers are crazy, I remember when I used to string line for the railroad..put the spurs on, climb the 60 foot poles at times carrying the crossarms up on the belt and would think nothing of it but I'm with Cardboard on the ladder thing..I hate like hell stepping off the roof onto the ladder

    Here is another view from the roof, standing pretty close to the edge about 3 feet, close enough. Yea the roof is just like those down below.
    This one looks towards Clackamas and I-205. The Harley shop is off in the distance.
