We haven't had inspections in Florida since the 80's so all they do now is write you a ticket and tell you to repair it.

In Colorado turn signals are not required, however if you have them they must work. I find them usefull at night or in foul weather.
No inspection required for bikes or cars, I think diesel's require an ommisions inspection.

This is what I have been doing for the last week. I am tired of polishing and I still have a few pieces yet to finish. Does anyone know the name of the spoke polishing cloth they had a few years ago if I remember it was about one inch wide and about 1 foot long came several in the package.

Yeah I remember that stuff, someone told me to
not use it because it had abrasives in it and would scar
    the metal...

If you need a really good polish Flitz, Wenol, both work wonders...

Not that difficult the HD SM has the steps,

Landmark SS diamond cut spokes are the bomb I have a set in my 00 heritage,
10 years, not one rust mark, and they get ridden all over FL including down Daytona beach a couple of times...

    Not chrome but SS....

Not a lot of progress so far but I did learn how assemble and install a transmission today. The service manual is rather vague.

I found that my SM is a little vague in some areas, but really good in others. Still, I would take my factory SM over any other manual. Ihated the last one I had. :gah::cussing::banghead::angry::wtf::witsend::rant::mad:

The machine shop finally finished boring the Jugs and redoing the heads. So I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I installed the pistons and the jugs Tomorrow I will install the heads and pushrods. Does anyone have a set of ironhead rocker boxes they would be willing to part with for a decent price? The ones I have are pitted and can not be polished and chrome plating is not an option due to the pitting (new ones cost less than having these chromed) I thought about having them powder coated but the colors they had were not bright enough, the bright silver looked more like lead. I will try to get a few pictures up of the assembled engine tomorrow.

I am pretty sure that they do have chip samples, but if I remember correctly I do not think that you can buy them individually, you have to buy a swatch. i was looking at eastwood for when i was debating if I wanted to powdercoat my engine or not. Good Stuff!!!
