If a Bear is charging you. You 1st shoot him in one of the front Paws. This will stop him and make him stand up and walk on his rear legs. When he stands up, try to hit him in the nose. The head is too thick to do anything.
Then when it gets back up you have a opening to make some good shots.
Got a buddy that is a Civilian in the Military ,that got transferred from Texas and now lives in Alaska and has told me about how people there has done it.
If you hit a bear in the chest with a shot, it will make a opening, if you can git near the opening it will penetrate even farther.
