Beef jerky

    image.jpg my wife got a dehydrator for Christmas and used for the first time. She made regular beef jerky. It wasn't.t hard. The butcher new what kind of meat and slice as necessary. 3 pounds worth. Marinated it for 24 hours. Dehydrated over nite and it's the best jerky I ever ate. And I love beef jerky. We made about 50$ worth of jerky for 20$. She made about 2 containers this size. There's only one to show because the other is eaten.

    Yeah that's good stuff, used to make it on the dehydrator, now I make it on my smoker, marinade overnight, have the butcher slice london broil or some very lean meat, low in fat, sure is good stuff.

    It's the best I've ever had. And it's only the plain flavor. Can't wait for teriyaki

    Was it necessary to clean the racks each and every tme? And the racks don't look very durable,I mean plastic doesn't stand up well to long term heat/cold exchanges.

    I do just for cleanliness reasons. Haven't noticed any issues with faulty equipment.
