Bent wheel

    Is it really possible to bend a rear rim on a softail by hitting a pothole? Did this ever happen to anyone?

    Anything is possible, how did you hit a pole with the rear wheel.

    I hit a hole in the road. In PA we refer to them as potholes.

    Must have been one big deep pothole to bend a rim. We also refer to them as potholes. Those big enough to cause damage to a rim would be called a pole hole or a crater.

    Check the tire for damage, likely has internal damage you might not see. Bum must be pretty sore too!

    Dented the front rim on my Heritage, rode it that way for 10 years,

    I suppose if you damaged it bad enough your bead seal could be bad as well. Wonder how fast you hit that crater.
