    The Handy lift is to dang heavy to do anything with except push it to the side.

    and you probably know, 1200 lbs is conservative......liability factor....

    yes that will work for light maintainence....as will some black iron pipe screwed/welded together.......great link........

    Buddy of mine in TX cut a hole in the floor of the garage, just slightly larger than one of the big lifts, then he put down rock, mesh and poured a concrete subfloor

    put the lift down in the hole and he can drive a car over it to park, in addition, he can ride the bike straight on the lift with feet on the floor so it's secure.

    Lotta work but works.

    I got one of the Kendon lifts, works great I've had Ultras to softails on it. never a problem. and it stands up in the corner against the wall when I don't use it..

    I have a harbor freight lift with the foot pump on it rated for 1000 lbs. It can be raised or lowered an inch or two at a time, cost me $320 last year. Only change I made was to add a cv17 front tire clamp to it cause I personaly feel it's a better clamp. The table moves very easily and makes a great workbench when no bike is on it
