    I used the straps that came with the jack. I believe I'd rather attached the straps to the bike frame, etc. rather than put them across the seat like the instructions show.

    Good Idea.

    Sure makes it a lot easier to raise and lower and work on the bike strapin it to the frame.

    I like using my sears jack when changin the tires........

    johnny how much snow is on the ground out front ? put your bike up so it don't freeze to the garage floor ,heck I seen the news from up there, I look out front here & see I need to mow the yard

    Put it up on Big Boards or hang it from the ceiling.
    Keep it in a small space and use this.
    And a Boat safe heater would help. They have a thermostat and will come on at around 40*

    Being the Lo-Tech guy that I am, (translation: cheap) I use 2 short 4x6s trimmed to just fit under the frame and drive specially made wedges under each side until I raise the bike about 2" off the floor. (Bike only weighs a little over 400 lbs. at this time). Sure, gotta get down on the floor sometimes, but not too often. It helps a lot to use carpenters knee pads. And didn't cost nothin' but a little time and some scrap timber.
